Default Leddy/Gardiner/Klefbom: who holds the best future

I'm looking to solidify my D for next season.

I'm thinking of trading Honka to gain a more established/ready to reach next level defenseman

Considering their salary, who holds the best value for points only next year?
    Leddy 5.5m
    Gardiner 4.05m
    Klefbom 4.17m

Obviously, Leddy seems to be the one with the best opportunity, but does the salary difference justify the expense? Will he and Gardiner be +/-5 points apart? Does Klefbom become a 25 min D man?

Thanks as always I'll rep the heck out of you

I actually like Klefbom the best of the options here. I think he has been undervalued in EDM so far, and if his shot volume keeps up, he is going to be racking up the points next season.

    ^^ Count me as surprised!

Should I wait till the trade deadline to grab him, see how things go and if he continues the way he's doing right now then I grab him?

I'll second kelfbhom here. His minutes are way up and he's contributing on the pp. Definitely your best value and he's on the best team of the bunch.

A third for KlefBOMB. Any worries you had before the season that Larsson would usurp his PPTOI are now gone.

And what about Sekera stealing time?

If Sekera hasn't taken the PPTOI by now, he never will. He had only Justin Schultz to beat out for PPQB when the Oilers signed him and Sekera failed to grab hold of the spot.

Klefbomb is a superior talent and the TOI reflects a similar thinking by McCllelan.

    ^^ Thanks guys!

I went for a very strategic move: since I'm not contending this year, so I picked up Sergachev, because he would be a 1st round pick next fall. Klefbom will still be available since no one has any moves left and I've got an early 3rd round pick to grab him. Till then, I will try to trade Sergachev for a 1st-2nd round pick (I'll wait till training camp). That early draft pick will help me patch my F if necessary or maybe switch Hellebuyck for Greiss depending on how he finishes the year and possible trades/expansion.
