    Default NBA Blockbuster Trade

Well the NBA section in this site is not overly popular, I just thought you all would like to know the big blockbuster that is likely happening.

Toronto sends Ross+1st round pick to Orlando for Ibaka.

That's not a blockbuster trade. Good for Raptors though.

It gives Toronto the PF/4 man spot they?ve been bandaiding all yr (arguably for years), he spreads the floor and plays great D. Can play center in a small lineup. Maybe not Blockbuster, but I rather him than Cousins and his attitude.

Maybe it should be considered a top trade of a tier below Blockbuster. But this is likely the biggest trade during the season we?ll see.

raps were after him last year before he was traded to orlando, price was way too high though.

i think he's a pending UFA so it's still a costly trade but they need to try and do something to push them ahead of lebron and the refs

I agree with the points made. Necessary deal to give them a push. It was costly, but the development of a couple of guys I think made them a little more comfortable parting with the first rounder.

Excited to see what they can do come postseason time.

He wants to be in Toronto apparently, and Usai wants to resign him. So it all depends on dollars, as Lowry is also a FA. But Toronto is in 4th now behind Cleveland (Love out 6weeks now), Celtics, and the Wizards. The trade should hopefully kick the Raps out of their funk.

I was never the biggest Ross fan so I'm fine with the cost.

Considering the Raptors make head scratching picks with their 1st rounder, might as well deal it away for something that will help. Not to mention, they own another 1st rounder in this years draft.

It sucks losing TRoss though. I like him off the bench.

It's the worse of the 2 1st round picks going to the Magic in this deal.

I liked him based on cost (10.5mil till 2018-19 season I think). Last yr he beefed up but it messed with his rhythm apparently and he slimmed back down for this season. I enjoy what he brings, and if he can get his mid-range game down he?ll be a Derozan than can hit threes. Even if he?s half as good as derozan?s mid-range game he?ll be a solid player based on cap hit.

But this is a sell high for the raps, the way he?s played is based off of Lowry, Vall (when going) and DD.

I heard it is the lower of the 2 first round picks.

When media says lower, does that mean the better pick or the worst pick? Its confusing. Lower could mean lower overall pick or lower could mean lower pick in the grand scheme of the draft order...

    Means the worse pick.

If toronto has a 22 and a 23rd, the Magic get their 23rd.
