OKC original asking price was insane for what Masai just got for him.

Corey Joseph, Patrick Patterson, Norman Powell, and No9 overall pick. Way to wait it out. Also MU turned Vasquez, and Ross into Powell (finally gets him minutes he needs), and Ibaka. Wow.

    Meh.

Are they good enough to beat the Cavs?

    Unlikely.

    So meh.

Getting Boogie would be a shot. Dislike his attitude all you like. Ibaka is fine, but not what's going to put them over the top.

The Cavaliers have shown their share of kinks in the armour this season themselves. Are the Raptors good enough to beat the Cavs? Hard to say, but if there's one thing we've seen this season, they weren't with the team they had. To not make trades because you don't think you can beat the Cavs is kind of like giving up and why would any team do that?

Does this trade mean they can beat the Cavs? I guess time will tell.

Yea, I'm saying if you're going to swing for the fences, then swing for the fences. That's not really this.

With Ibaka shooting 3s, it’ll pull the guy defending him up higher, Ibaka sets a screen and gets Lowry and Derozan more space when driving. And if that Ibaka defender goes to help, Ibaka will be open at the top of the arc where he’s like 40% with over 200attempts.

T-Ross tho is top 10 in 3s by a Raptor, he’s got a ton of talent/athleticism, and we all saw the flashes of what he could do. There was a game where he guarded PG13 and kept him to 6/18 –ish and put up 20pts and we all thought wow this is it, he’s going to be that third guy. But he just never did it with consistency.

I bet Ibaka isn’t there tonight vs the Bulls, if he is gotta be limited minutes.

For the Raptors, they are trying to fill a hole that has plagued them for some time now. Ibaka is a big upgrade to their inside game and defense. I like this swing myself.

And Cleveland losing Kevin Love for weeks is a big blow to them.

They could have used him last night omg. He's likely in the lineup tonight. I'm thinking they run him with a bunch of simple high screens.

He wouldn't have helped last night. They cant beat Chicago for some unknown reason.

People quit in that game, besides Powell (really liked what I did see with him), JV, CoJo, and Carroll were the only ones that seemed to be in the game from start to finish. Oh well, Ibaka SHOULD be in Toronto for tonight?s game wearing No9! Really hope he brings some fire to light under these guys butts.

    ---EDIT---
30min ago Raptors posted a pic of Serge and said he has landed in Toronto. So he?ll suit up tonight.

Tremendous deal for the Raptors - addresses many gaps we've had for years.

With Ibaka we should return to the Eastern Conf Finals before being eliminated by the Cavs in 6-7 games.

I've been excited with the raps progress and overall franchise operations over the last few seasons but I truly stoked for this move and can't wait to see Serge do what he does for them.

He's fit in perfectly so far... such a versatile player too, he killed it in the 4th last night.
