Default Giordano: When do you cut bait?

Keep 5 league in my sig. Was expecting him to pick up in the 2nd half, but NADA. The man is barely even on the radar.

The waiver wire is thin in my league, But I almost want to just run with Leddy and Streaky Carlson and start streaming in another forward on off days to at least get something, anything.

I keep waiting for him to start putting up a little bit here and there, but he is on a 9 game pointless streak and has been held off the scoreboard in 19 of the last 24 games.

I could swap him out for TJ Brodie, who actually is producing a tiny bit more. Zaitsev, Goligoski. COuld try to improve my +/- and PIM's with Larsson or Orpik....Lindholm is available.

Overall, I traded a lot of depth to get Martin Jones and I am happy with a Talbot/Jones Combo, but my scoring is suffering a bit now and I need to get frugal and stream/Snag any way I can.

I drop Giordano a long time ago for Brodie. Pp time being the primary reason but he's not the best option either. Id stream hot forwards if that's an option before either of them.

I was really hard to get him for 2 months thinking the 2nd half surge but that didn't happen so happy that I didn't receive any feedback from the guy who own him because I was ready to give Mikael Granlund for him on your league without hit, block and sog he is droppable.

In keep 5 I think he is droppable, especially if there are no limits to WW pick ups. If you are allowed to stream, you will get more production from streaming guys on off nights I believe....

I am suffering too, at the moment. Both Jones and Werenski are available in free agency so after the Jackets are done with their bye week, I think Mark is going to Gi-O.

As per this other thread, I cut bait on Dec 27th with Gio.

I think the team is having a down year and I also think you could pick him up on the cheap right now.

But I doubt he ever reaches 50 points again. He's on pace for 33, but Id treat him like a 35-45 defender going forward.

Definitely not a keeper in a keep 5 league.

I was not inferring I keep him. I was wondering when to drop him to simply stream in players even if I have to run with merely 2 defensemen with 3 slots available
