Well... 13 games before Burakovsky hand injury, the Caps went on a 10-2-1 run worth 21pts. In the 13 games since Burakovsky went down with his injury, the Caps are 6-6-1 for a total of 13pts. I would not peg all of their recent struggles on Burakovsky's absence but it has to have had some sort of ripple effect on their output. I believe the past 13-game stretch is the worst that the Caps have had all season (they have lost more than 33% of their total losses all season long in this stretch ) Luckily for them, they have built a solid cushion in the standings.
