Lehner/Elliott by far.
Hey guys,
This is related to my other post re Lehner v. Allen. I'm trying to improve my goaltending for the playoffs. I have two competing offers: one that gets me Miller and one that gets me Lehner. Assuming everything else is equal, which combination of goalies would you rather have strictly for this season (W,GAA,SAV, SAV%, SO):
Holtby, Allen, Miller
Or
Holtby, Lehner, Elliott
Lehner/Elliott by far.

I like Lehner better than Allen for ROS as mentioned in other thread. Only reason I would also like Elliott is because the flames I think are going to limit Johnson's starts as he's had the much bigger struggles of the two CGY goalies
Lehner for sure. When they can me back later in the week, Miller won't be able to wear three pairs of pants. New equipment rules may affect him more than most.

I have to dissent... The only reason the Canucks aren't floating with the Yotes is Miller. This season... he's been the second best G out of the options presented in this thread.
Elliott has been dreadfull all season, Allen.. the last two months.
I'll take Allen over Lehner & Elliott with a strong belief he'll bounce back down the stretch for Stl. Miller is playing his best hockey since he was traded from Buffalo. I don't see him disappearing (especially if Tanev stays in the line up and Van's D gets healthy)
I'd stash Allen on the bench until he shows signs of life, Miller will provide a solid B option to Holtby.
I trust not Lehner/Elliott.

Interesting. I was leaning more towards Miller myself.
So far this season, Lehner and Miller's stats are pretty comparable. Allen's despite the struggles have been superior to Elliott's. Of course, Allen's been a flaming bag of shit lately.
One more twist: I could possibly pull off both trades, giving me: Holtby, Lehner, Miller.
Would that be the best option of the three, or do you guys like Eliott better than Miller ROS?

Miller over Elliott.. I've never been sold on Elliott, even with stellar #'s in Stl. If Van can score .5 goal more per game, they'd be safely in a playoff spot right now. Mind you, take a look at their schedule next 4wks, they're playing every division leader & something like 9 of 11 vs. playoff teams with a road trip of 6 games in 9 nights... food for thought as well
