So I have been in talks with the Dubnyk owner in my league and he is looking for an elite defender. Currently his best D man is Barrie and it gets worse from there. I would like to upgrade my goalies and I think Dubnyk would make a great addition. What do others think would be a good first offer?

We are both trying to formulate our ten keepers for next year.

He also has Talbot and Rinne and Budaj.

    League and team in Signature.

Excellent plan wonko. I believe this is exactly the advice I gave you on your recent keepers post. You certainly have the depth to make a deal like this. I guess you need to decide to rank Burns Josi, Letang and Subban from 1-4. Then make your opening offer with the #4 guy and work your way up.

In my mind they would rank:

    Burns

    Letang
    Josi/Subban

My most difficult question is trying to determine which of Josi or Subban is the better keeper. Josi seems to be the main guy most nights in Nashville (PP #1) right now, but that could easily change, and he does have a concussion history. Subban, on the other hand, will not likely log the opportunity and minutes in Nashville that he did in Montreal, but is still an elite defender. Who to keep of the two?

I just bought low on Josi a couple of days ago, so I am biased, but I like him better than Subban at this point.

    Burns
    Letang
    Josi
    Subban

I would open with Subban. I think he has more "name value" than Josi anyway so it could be an offer the OGM will warm to.

I am also a little biased, but I think Subban is the one you want to try and sell here. He might also have a tiny bit more value right now since he's healthy and playing in the all-star game.

I like this idea for you, I think I posted in your overall thoughts thread. I'd offer his choice of Josi/Subban.

Trade anyone but Burns and it's a slam dunk!

I'll echo what the others have said and suggest trading Subban. I prefer the other 3 guys you have and think Subban's name value could get the deal done.
    Without me, it's only "aweso".
