But more importantly, SM, I've seen your various posts about the wildfires going on in your neck of the continent. Man alive! I can only imagine what that's got to be like. Best thoughts going out to you and the rest of the folks affected. I hope things are brought under control soon. Be well!

I know it's terrible. So many interface fires, more than I can remember. I remember 2003 was a bad fire season but from what i remember most fires back then were in the middle of no where but this year our town of 25,000+ got evacuated (returned home now), town 1 hours drive south from here was evacuated (2000-3000 people) and a small community an hour drive west from me of 700 people were evacuated. I was lucky enough to be billeted at a house with people I was familiar with, I couldn't imagine having to stay in a cot in a gymnasium. I'd sure like to drive around when it's safe and see the devastation.

I would say no as a zombie is a ''walking dead'' monster whereas a vampire is an ''undead'' monster. Also, a vampire can be made by another vampire but it can also be born a vampire. A zombie can only be made by another zombie. Frankenstein would be a closer cousin to a zombie IMO.
