then in the 14 years here, we've never had a sniff of real winter. -5 and 4 inches of snow - this city shuts down

Snow removal is probably a real challenge in your area though. In northern Ontario they can just pile the snow in the next field of grass lol

pretty low density city of 90k. the problem is when we get six inches a shovel is 40lbs because it's so heavy. rarely do we get a dry fluffy snow.

In some ways I wish it was the off season so I could start on another hockey list. Am going to do things differently this time, am going to go team by team and project the lines first then go through the process of projecting point totals. I could start a list right now but so far off from projecting lines lol.

Just had about 2 1/2 cups of fresh green salad with 3 table spoons of french dressing and topped off with lots of pepper ... roughly 200-250 calories was one tasty meal. Am going to buy a big package of salad and have those with my meals to give me greens ... i usually never eat greens. Plus eating something like this is a heck of a lot more enjoyable than eating some 200-300 calorie chocolate bar. Am going to buy some boneless skinless chicken as well. But I will go to Walmart and find a lower calorie option than the regular french dressing which is 60 calories a table spoon.

Who would have thought eating good tasted so good?

Eating healthy is good, the biggest thing is having the will to do it. Unhealthy eating is less effort, but healthy eating makes you feel so much better.

Why do we pronounce Cuba Queue-ba when Cuban's pronounce it KOOBA. Why do we just butcher the pronunciation of words knowing they're being mispronounced ? Should we not make a better attempt to pronounce things the way they are supposed to be pronounced?

Just when I thought I seen it all ... I just watched a hockey player try and stab another player with his skate. Player "A" got knocked down to the ground then he kicked at Player "B"s leg twice then Player "A" ended up getting jumped on and got like 10 punches to his head while his teammates sat back and watched. One guy I was sitting near asked the security guard if it were ok that he drank (this was a no drinking tournament) and the guy legit just smiled and said "I don't care". These tourneys aren't quite as crazy as back in the early 2000's when there were no security period and there would be a section of people (10-20 people) openly drinking beer and bottles of vodka, rum or whatever. Once (back in 2006 or 2007) there were a few guys openly smoking weed. After some guys got caught smoking in the arena the tournament organizers were required to have security guards patrolling everywhere.

Was pretty funny listening to the drunk guys heckle the players though lol.

I get immense enjoyment out of dropping a stink bomb in a crowded aisle right before evacuating to watch the devastation from the end of said aisle!

Had to bring my 14 year old Terrier to the Veterinarian Hospital tonight. He threw up 3 times today which I think is bile. It was a clear like substance that had a terrible smell to it. He ate some of our carpet and he started throwing that up and I kept pulling what I could out of him but not all of it came out, I was afraid he was going to choke if I kept yanking on it. He became very lethargic, then I made the decision to call the hospital. Man, I feel sad right now. Had this dog since it was 4 or 5 weeks old. Out of all my family he always gravitates to me all the time. When everyone else goes to sleep he will follow me to my room and either sleep at my feet or lay down in front of my bed. They did blood work on him and said his kidneys and pancreas aren't working very well and is dehydrated. He is being kept on IV overnight and will be re-evaluated in the morning. The vets said they didn't seem to think it was to the extreme where they're thinking it would be a good idea to put him down, but it was not good right now. I'm going to visit him in the morning, was a little worried how he would react to staying at a different place overnight but he was calm.
