I've been considering trading him in my league because my strategy is to roster guys who get a lot of SOGs, but I'm curious whether his recent shooting pace is a new trend or just an outlier. If he was a 200-240 SOG per year guy that would instantly switch him from being a guy I am sort of actively looking to trade to a guy I wouldn't trade unless I got an offer I can't refuse.
Based on what I've done on the cage match article thus far, this is a very, very astute and meaningful observation.

I don't have to find a reason. You are biased, and everyone knows that. After you were completely wrong last year about Stone not even repeating 60 pts.

First it was, yeah he won't hit 60 again, look at Brad Boyes.

now it's yeah he won't hit 70. Look at this guy who did it once.

Well on this line he's playing with a pass first centre and a guy in Smith who has similar SOG totals so he has to shoot a bit more. If he stayed with Brassard and Smith for a whole year, i bet he would get around 175 shots. He has about 167 per82 since December 1 being with those guys

Wild guesses for opponent: J.T. Miller? Nino Niederreiter? Kevin Hayes?

All 23-24 years old and pacing for 61-62 points this year.

Well, he said "You might be surprised". So I figured those are 3 close comparables based on this year's production that might lose to Stone in a Cage Match. Like I said, wild guesses.

Coyle is a 4th guy that I should have put on my guess list.

No. It looks like it everyone else's feelings are butthurt when I make a post that calls them out on their ignorance, though.

I do not recall me saying, categorically, that Stone would not hit 60 points again. Is it possible I said it? Sure, I guess it's possible. But most likely you read something and - shocker - saw what you wanted to see. Please link to your proof.

Update: Stone's 82 game pace is down to 62 points. Since the beginning of 2017 he has 13 points in 19 games which is a 56 point pace.

Hopefully he can go on a nice little run and at least break 65 for the first time, but at this point I think there is a higher chance of him failing to break 60 points than there is of him breaking 70.
