Wennberg vs Monahan

Hi,

How would you rate a Wennberg for Monahan trade for the rest of the season? H2H league, right now I'm leading.

As it stands right now, Wennberg has 36 points in 42 games, while Monahan has 25 in 46.

pro-trade:
- Monahan historically is a point-per-game player after ASG
- Monahan shoots twice as much (ca. 100 shots vs 50 shots)
- Monahan is better in face-offs
- Monahan is off the market, so my other opponents can't get him

against trade:
- Monahan has less points than Wennberg so far
- Monahan relies heavily on Gaudreau
- Monahan has less PPP
- Monahan has worse +/-
- Monahan is slightly worse in BLK and HITs

I prefer Monahan ROS. I expect a slight market correction in his favor. I think Wennberg's market correction will go the other direction ROS.

What categories do you need to cover? Not sure hits and blocks make a difference but pp points v goals/face offs do IMO

I would take the deal!

Monahan is great in FOW, that's what you look at in a league like yours. You can get your hits/blocks from your D-men.

I like the idea but get more out of it. This is not a sell-high deal. You should be able to get a bit more out of Wennberg. Try a 2 for 2 with a minor upgrade somewhere else on your roster.
