I expected Capuano to go long ago. I agree that the team on the ice isn't going to change over night, but firing Capuano was a step in the right direction.

Trying to think how he makes that group better this season and I'm not entirely sure... Would hope Lee remains full time fixture on Tavares wing as one though

I'm fine with gallant polishing off the 16-17 season as long as snow keeps his nose out of how gerrard wants to coach .

There was a report that Snow had no intention in bringing back Capuano next season. So this to me is a 100% saving Snow’s own butt. Which I guess isn’t bad when Capuano still gets paid.

timing seems a bit off if they're objective is to stimulate a change of atmosphere that hopefully translates into wins .
they just had a bye week in which they could have fired jack / hired gallant .At least gallant would have had slightly more than 41 games to right the ship

weight was very active in recruiting and advising isles to sign Ladd .
will be interesting to see how he's utilized when he comes back from whatever his injury is.

Ladd's contract will ensure he gets opportunities often. He still has to earn it to stick but it's awfully convenient to turn to your prized signing.

With another two goals last night Tavares seems to be adjusting well that the change.
