Hmmm, nice find. I read something about this elsewhere but I am still unable to find a picture of the new pants or any extra info on them (size, difference from what is currently being used, ...)
Just a heads up, although nobody can really forecast who and how a midseason change like this will affect.Bob McKenzieVerified account @TSNBobMcKenzie 1h
NHL has issued memo to all clubs/goalies saying all netminders must be wearing the "new" re-designed/size appropriate pants by Feb 4.

Care to elaborate? I know topics of which goalies will be affected most by the equipment changes was beat to death over the summer on these forums. But, I recall that Dubnyk was generally thought to be a goalie who's style would not be impacted much by the changes. Where as goalies like Lundqvist, and possibly Bishop may see a larger impact.
Would love for some different / updated opinions if you think otherwise
Considering that Dubnyk was one of the 3 goalies involved in deciding on the new pants, I doubt it will negatively affect him much at all.

That tweet makes it seem like this is a brand new rule. The new pants have been in effect since the start of the season. This memo is just saying the grace period is coming to an end. I'm sure most, if not all goalies have already switched to the new pants.

Many have, Dubnyk hasn't... that's all I was getting at fellows.
I saw him in an interview when he was playing Toronto about a month or so ago. They mentioned how many goalies have already made the change (they noted Vasilevksi as one, not sure if there is a list out there - would be interesting to see if anyone can track it down), but he's waiting until he absolutely has to (unless I interpreted the interview wrong).
Maybe he has since made the switch? Not sure. Anyone know?

"Cleavage is like the sun. You can look, but dont stare.. Unless you're wearing sunglasses."
HAHAHAHA! I read this thread title and it made me really giggle. In England mostly, but somewhat in New Zealand as well, pants is a way to describe something that is pure shit.
For example: Those new 50 year anniversary jerseys the Flyers are wearing this year are pants. Or... The latest Sherlock season was really pants.
If you say pants in England, you are probably talking about underpants. If you want to actually say pants, you would say trousers. So I was expecting to come into the thread and read about things that rataylor thinks are pants. haha I didn't expect the literal meaning, but maybe I should have.

There is just something awesome about a guy called Atomic Wedgy misunderstanding a thread titles "All Things Pants"

That is a great point haha!
I would have to disagree. It was definitely shorts. I really enjoyed it.
As for the actual thread, I'll throw another name out there as Rinne that could definitely struggle a little more if he hasn't already changed pants.

(No I don't have a hockey problem...)
I'm pretty sure that one goalie who has used the new pants all season is Ward...
