Got hit in the head by his own stick after a late hit. Probably concussion.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

With Subban already out, this is exactly what I need.

After the cap hell I just had to get through to bring Bishop back this is Sod's law as Josi on IR would have worked just as well!

Apparently, Josi was seen talking to fans after the game. FWIW. We'll know more about his status soon.

If he's concussed, it would be his 5th concussion.

Wow. 5th? Yikes. When were his last concussion? I would appear he only missed about 10 games in the last 4 seasons.

Big boost for Ekholm who quietly has 8 points in his last 12 games.

Compared to 2 points in his first 12 games.

Really tough to see Josi out and hopefully he's back and healthy soon.
You are correct though that it opens up a lot of opportunity for Ellis and Ekholm. Excited to see how they do with it.

Do we have any official confirmation that it is a concussion yet?

Not yet but the way he took the hit and the fact they put him on IR so quickly is telling.

The Predators will be without their top two defensemen today in Roman Josi and P.K. Subban. Josi must miss the next three games on IR.

I didn't see the 1st period of today's game but based on the two periods that I did see, both seemed a little lost out there. Maybe it was because they weren't playing together, I don't know. But especially on the powerplay they didn't have the confidence to carry the puck into the zone and take a real leadership role on the blueline. Which is a bit weird since they're both solid top-4 NHL D-men, not some rookies getting thrown to the wolves. But maybe it was just a short-term issue and they'll bounce back.
