What does " rep" mean
Is rep based on the amount of rep you give out or receive? How about the number near your name and your location.

I believe your power is the amount of rep points you give someone when you rep them. Your rep power is based on (I think) the amount of rep points you have accumulated to date, and I assume there are tiers that you hit which improves your rep power. There may be a time based element in there too.
That's my best guess. Please correct me anyone!
