Kyprieos and Friedman were talking about Radulov's extension this weekend.
I don't know if they were just throwing random numbers or if they have a real source on this...
Radulov would want a 6-year deal at 5M$ per or a 3-year deal at 7M$ per.
So, what would you do if you're MB?
    30M$/6 years or 21M$/3 years ???

If I am in a cap league, I would be looking to move Radulov now before he signs a contract that no one wants to take on.

It's a gamble. I'd want him at $5 mil per year.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

I guess it depends on your league setup too. If you are unable to drop him after he signs, and he signs for five years, do you still want him at $5M for 5yrs?

Not to mention, I have a hard time seeing him sign for $5M. Why would he take less money than he's making now? I don't see him taking less than the $5.75M he's making now; more likely looking for a raise.

$21M/3 years for sure. He's probably worth $7M, so why would you want to sign him until he's 37?

I doubt that. Someone will give him at least a 5 year deal, so if it's not Montreal then he'll go somewhere else.

I think the 4th contract year would start to push his cap hit to closer to 6mil than 7mil.
3 years or less he should be nearing a 7mil cap hit.

He'll ask for term (last kick at the can). I think he signs for 5-6 years- but not sure if Mtl will go for that. i think hes getting a raise but might take a discount to stay on the Habs (as stated likes the spotlight and has a comfort level). ill say 5 years at 6.5 (32.5).

I can't see him signing for less than 5 years and $6m per. I think he truly enjoys playing in Montreal and will take a slight "discount" after "exploring" the FA market (read, driving up the price a little).

I've also asked Dobber for an eight-year contract.

I think there's a slightly smaller threat of you leaving for Russia.
