Any idea of what he might be looking at? Or will he likely test out open waters?

He won't be taking any less, so $6M is probably the least you can hope for.

Stastny got $7M a couple of years ago, Ryan and Krejci are at $7.25M. That's the range I'd expect him to target. Of course that can change if someone offers him a long-term contract.

Radulov, by all accounts seems like a changed player. He seems to love playing in Montreal (spotlight kinda guy) I can see him signing long term in Montreal 6x7. If Mtl can get him under 7m. They need to sign him. I for one would love to see him signed in-season.

I would go between $15 over 2 years, and your guess Daoust. No matter what though it won't be cheap.

    What's Russia paying these days?

I kid. I think $7 million is a decent, albeit somewhat scary, number.

I'm looking to trade for him in a Keeper for the rest of this year but I'm a bit worried what will happen next year. He may follow the money and go somewhere else. But what works for him in Montreal could end up being a bad fit on some other team...

I'll say $6m for 4 years. He'll get better offers elsewhere if he goes FA route, certainly more salary if not term, but Mtl is such a perfect fit for him that I think he'll give a sort of hometown discount (although 6 mil is nothing to sneeze at). He's clearly loving playing in Mtl, there is NO question, and his maturity is no longer questioned.

He will not get 4 years. Either it'll be a very rich 2 years, or a more reasonable 3.
