Werenski for Ristolainen

Got offered Risto for my Werenski. I feel like Werenski should have better upside than risto and the wait time is not a problem. so should i do it?

I prefer Risto here as i think he can do what hedman does- being an absolute beast.

I also think that Risto will be a monster. Not this year. Not next year, but soon enough. You want to get him in this deal, since who really knows if Werenski will pan out long term. Because Werenski is so hot right now, try to ask for more than just a straight up deal - can you get a draft pick kicker or another player as a toss in? My guess is the other owner is drooling over Werenski and thus you could find a way to land something else as part of the deal.

..this. He approached you with hopes in getting Werenski, hes likely willing to add a little something by way of Draft Pick upgrades...and not just a little bit. like from 4th to 1st round or something

Yeah, get Risto. If you can get more great, but don't scare him away. Risto is a great deal for Werenski IMO.

Thanks for the input. I ended up making this trade: Werenski + montour for Ristolainen + 2017 2nd + 2017 3rd + subban (the 2nd and subban was to add montour)

You got Risto, which is the big key. And maybe one of the picks will pan out and Subban will go to Vegas and get a chance to shine.

You did very well. In a multi-cat league this is a no brainer for me.

Risto is the man in BUF and will be an absolute monster for years to come.

Jones is the man in CBJ and while Werenski is hot right now, he appears to be limited as a PP specialist and not very useful across the board for a multi-cat league. Risto should end up matching him offensively and absolutely bury him in hits, blocks, etc.
