Dubois or Sergachev for next year?

Who do you think will have the biggest impact next year?

I'm thinking of dropping Ekholm for Sergachev
OR
drop Stempniak for Dubois

If by impact, you mean just being on the starting roster in the bigs at season's start, gotta go with Sergachev. PLD is not looking like a regular NHLer for next season so far.

Having said that, I wouldn't be dropping Ekholm for Sergachev just yet either.

If anything, I'd drop Stemp for Sergachev and look towards dealing another of your younger D out. Pulock/Honka specifically.

Frankly, Ekholm is worthless in my league.. so him or Stempniak doesn't make a big difference as they both won't be on my team next year

Appreciate that neither will make your squad next year, but in terms of impact NEXT year, I'd still suggest that both Stemp and Ek are better bets than either prospect.
Longer term (2-3) years, I think we see Sergachev start to make an impact and shortly thereafter PLD.

I have two answers for that:
1) Salary cap league so Ekholm at 3.75m vs Sergachev at 1.78m and I don't think Ehkolm will be twice as good...
2) Even if I take Sergachev, Ekholm will be available (I mean, even OEL is available, because a guy had to sacrifice him to try to win it this year) ... I know you're going to say that I should pick OEL.. I'm thinking about that too.. it's just that prospects are wrth a lot in my league because of the price..

What kind of league settings do you have where a prospect is worth more than OEL?

I would be dropping either of those guys so fast if OEL was available.

I wouldn't be so begrudging on adding OEL... it's OEL... Put a smile on your face. Some players are worth cap hell.
