    Default Hellebuyck vs Mrazek

League in sig. I've been working with one owner where the centerpiece of the trade is Hellebuyck. I won't trade him without getting a goalie back, Mrazek is the best he has. I originally traded Mrazek to him, but my team has changed considerably and I am not contending. I see the two as similar - both on poor defensive teams, talented but having trouble showing it when getting shelled regularly. I can probably get a premium since he wants Helly badly.

Who do you like better over the next three years, Mrazek or Hellebuyck? Your reasoning?

    Thanks as always.

Both haven't proven they can fully handle #1 duties yet, but I'll take Hellebuyck even if Mrazek is probably as talented if not more.
Hellboy has a much better team in front of him and I don't like where Detroit is heading...

Unless you can get a significant piece along with Mrazek, I'd stand pat.
Is there any other piece to the equation we should know about?

Helle for me. Jets are primed to take another step and should be able to with him. The Wings are going in the other direction

Hellebuyck for me as well. For the player as much as for the team he plays for.

Straight up I prefer Hellebuyck this deal sounds like it's more than straight up.

Post the full details of the trade and get opinions on that instead of only part of the deal.

The other pieces are in flux, as we've been going back and forth. His latest offer is Thornton & Kesler (this year only, but I could flip them), Gallagher 18-19 & Vesey 20-21 + Mrazek for Helly, Palat & JT Miller (this year & next), Subban 17-18. I can't take this deal because I would have more than the 10 max contracts. I also have 4 other prospects that will need contracts by mid 17-18, Rantanen, BRitchie, Aho & Matheson. Rakell is about the only other piece that would be worthwhile.

I like Hellebuyck quite a bit more than Mrazek. He's a better goalie on a better team for the future. It's not that close.
