Laine shared his thoughts about the hit and what happened from his perspective to a Finnish newspaper, here are my translations of those comments:

I didn't have time to see McCabe at all because I was watching the puck. I don't remember anything about the hit. I just remember getting the puck in the neutral zone. I have no memory of lying on the ice. I woke up from the dressing room when I was on trainer's table.

Laine also said he could be playing early next week, so possibly on Monday or Tuesday.

I read on Wiebe's twitter today that Laine said he wants to get more practices in before he plays again, so Monday is probably not going to happen.

I'd be very surprised if Laine doesn't play tomorrow. Maurice said he would consider him "an option" for tomorrow, and that he's "very, very close". They don't talk like this unless a guy's ready.
