What's the cost difference between Scheifele and Crosby?
Hey guys! I have 3 trades I can do tonight for team 1 in the signature below.
I'm not a contender so I'm building for next year.
This is a salary cap league, so value players are the best:
1) Drop R.Smith, Add Little
2) Drop Virtanen, Add Meier
3) Drop Bennett, Add Crosby or Scheifele (both are pretty expensive)
4) Drop Ekholm, Add Montour or Sergachev
5) Drop Mrazek, Add Hellebuyck
Other players on my radar are: Labanc and Vrana
Thanks for the help!

Sheif is at 6.1 and Crosby at 8.7.. I have the cap space for both, but I think they would still be available later on..
If I were to choose between both I think I would grab Crosby just because he will get more than a point per game

If you have the cap space for both, I'd pick them both up. Crosby is elite, Scheifele is a budding star, perfect for your rebuild.
Any way you can add them and still keep Bennett?

Yes I have space for both and Bennett, but those players are always available in our format.. which is why I was wondering if I should go for a young future star like Meier (although) I do have lots of prospects in my team..

2, 3 and 5
In my opinion Meier is a better prospect then Virtanen.
Crosby is a star, if you can't afford a star like Crosby in a salary cap league, then you have to make space for him.
Hellebuyck is a slightly better option than Mrazek, and you can save dollars with Hellboy.
If you are building for the future then i'd drop someone like Stempniak for a top prospect like Sergachev or Montour.
Happy New Year.
Great advice! Thanks!
I'll go with Crosby for R.Smith, Meier for Virtanen and Hellboy for Mrazek
Next month i'll go either for Scheifele or Montour/Sergachev

There's no point having empty cap space so being able to add Sid amd Scheifele for nothing is a no brainer IMO. Especially as you seem to have a lot of prospects around to supple, net that team - key will be watching the wire as players are called up but it's do able
Experience is the teacher of all things.
Don't get how Crosby and Schieffle "will always be avaiable" . Understand it's a cap league, but is salary cap the end all be all?
HTH Daily League, 8 teams, (goals, ppp, +/-, assists, SOG, W, GAA, SV%) keepers in Bold.
C (s3) EP40, Trocheck, Marchessault LW, Horvat

Labanc is playing well
Thing with my cap space is that next year a few players will resign and I want to have that flexibility.
But like I mentioned, I'll drop Ekholm and grab Montour/Sergachev and I'll get Scheifele by dropping Stempniak or Vesey or Bennett

Rule of thumb is 10 points plus per million and for me Scheifele and Crosby should exceed that regularly
