i like Gibson. The Ducks forwards are againg (Getzlaf and Perry) but their excellennt defense is young. They haven`t even reached their peek yet. Another factor is scheduling. The Ducks play a lot of Friday and Sunday games so if you carry three goalies you won`t be faced wtih benching Gibson as much.

As for Vasilevsky, he`ll be a great goalie but I`m not sure that Tampa Bay will continue to be that good. Stamkos is always injured. Tyler Johnson had only one good season. The only other plalyer that is that good is Kucherov.

As for Helleybuck. Winnipeg is an exciting young team. Not sure about their team defense though.

Maybe I`m biased but at the beginning of the year I was faced with the decision of either keeping Vasilevsky or Gibson and I chose Gibson.

At the beginning of this year it was a pretty clear cut decision between Gibson and Vasi, in favor of Gibson. At the beginning of next year it will be a more difficult decision for sure. We probably won't know who the right choice was for at least a few years.

I like Gibson more than the other 2, older more proven slightly. If you're talking long term and you're set on goalies for now I'd take a hard look at Saros in Nashville

I still don't get why everyone thinks Tampa Bay is going to be a power house of a team the next 5-10 years. I just don't see it.

John Gibson looking like the best choice lately. This is why it's best to judge players performance after the x-mas break and not in October/ November.

Agree - Gibson is looking good as of late and we now see Helly pulling away from Vas. All short term numbers - but I still like Helly the best long term as IMO he is better than Vas and is in a better situation than Gibson. I see a aging Anaheim team with some nice young D players - but they are not able to keep them all and D are tough to predict / develop. Winnipeg has a nice balance of Veterans and young players and see Helly as a top 10 goalie over next 2 years - time will tell

As the Calendar turned, I'm thinking Gibson>Helle>Vas.

Funny how Goalie situations can turn on a dime.

Gibson is #1 for me, then flip a coin after that.

Key word in your post is "lately". In a keeper league, you can't just look at a small window and make your choices. Sure, he looks good today, but he could just as quickly take a turn and go backwards. See Vasilevskiy the past few weeks. He's another who appears to be losing steam, but as quickly as he loses steam he can turn it around and look like a beast again.

That's why it's hard to judge young goalies. Tons of roller coasters in their young careers. You can't just look at the high rolls and not remember when Gibson wasn;t on those highs. Same for Vasilevskiy. It wasn't that long ago that he was on his high and now he appears to be struggling.

You speak very wisely here, I think.

My opinion hasn't changed much based on the past few weeks. While many people may be panicking about Vasilevskiy due to his recent performance, I believe it will ultimately be a speed bump in an otherwise very solid career. I still like Vasilevskiy the most long term, Hellebuyck second, and Gibson third. Although if emphasis is put on this year and next, I'd probably take Gibson first, Hellebuyck second, and Vasi last.

3 goals in like 5 shots tonight.

Hellebuyck must be going down to the AHL pretty soon...

He had a 28 save shutout a few days ago too. Growing pains.
