Default Jack Capuano needs to be let go...

i have too many NYI on my team (really only the two g-men..) to let this go silent any longer. This is nuts already!

i did a seach on Google about Jack Capuano fired, and i brought up articles from last spring calling for his firing or at least alluding to him being canned after their playoffs "run" and as far back as 2014 looking for his dismissal.

How on gods green earth can this be continued?

if theres any sense of hockey operations knowledge in Garth Snow this need to end...

I think the reason is this: "New York Islanders are Reportedly Interested in Adding a President of Hockey Operations"

They want to add the President of Hockey Ops first so that he can be part of that selection process. The problem is that apparently they've been looking for that person since the summer, so not sure if they'll suddenly find him now.

the Isles are really giving Vancouver a run for most dysfunctional franchise. I think it goes top down in NYI. Snow goes first, then the new GM hires his coach. They can't figure out where to play, I'm not sure the owners even know who the GM of the team is.

Why do I see members of the Florida Panthers' management team giving you dirty looks?

Cap must be in possession of a Garth Snow sex tape... it's the only logical explanation

likely due to the fact that a. they're not getting enough respect for being dysfunctional and b. they're West Point, that's what they do.

It was just last season many were saying similar things about the Blue Jackets. Look at them today.

The Islanders can turn this around quick enough but its obvious that changes need to happen.

They have 12 F under contract for next season. I can't see this turning around in the next 2-3 years.

Did you think the Blue Jackets would be one of the best teams in the NHL this year? Im guessing no like the majority of hockey fans.

Who are we to know what they can do if changes are made.

Of course they could bounce back under Capuano but their odds would be much better under a different coach.

Everyone thought they would be this team last year. That tempered expectations going into this year. I think everyone knew they were better than last year... but no one could possibly predict 21-5-4.

I will predict that Isles will remain a bad to fringe playoff team for the next 3 years though. Wildcard tops.

snow misread the impact nielsen/okposo departure would have on the team .

also , whoever the pro scouts are need to be fired too for suggesting ladd would fit the teams system .

they sorrily lack skilled players that can do some dangling like okposo/nielsen could

    very frustrating

I kinda feel bad for capuano having to compete with the tools his gm left him with

but he had a "better" team last year and they were still calling for his head? He was listed as #6 as top candidates to be fired in 2014-15 in a list i looked at this morning, albeit it was a CBS list, but still..

yes hes had a brutal team to work with, but its obvious to me anyway that the players have stopped listening. I've never heard of a complete gutting and rebuilding to save the job of one coach, so you cannot simply change the players....

This is what I think a lot of people are missing. Butch is at least mostly on point here IMO. Sure we all know how good JT is. But whats after him? Strome has the talent, but hasn't put it together yet. Lee, Ladd (at this point in his career) are good middle (bottom 2nd liners/ good 3rd liners) options. They have some stuff in the pipeline, but will JT be there when they arrive(Beavillier, barzal etc)?

The Cizikas and Clutterbuck signings are too much(good role guys, good team guys, but too much $ allocated imo).
Theyre D is ok, but again, nothing imo really stands out as a "star" d guy.
    G meh

Capuano may not be the best coach and frankly, I feel he has not done a good job (not good enough at least), but he also hasn't had the tools either.
