I prefer Matthews. I always have since seeing him play. I feel he is the more complete player, and will also find greater real life and fantasy success.

plus Eichel has no soul.
joke aside, Eichel imo brings more upside if it is PTS only. I see Matthews like a potential Kopitar, which will do about 65-70 pts whereas Eichel can probably bring the 70-80 pts

I go Eichel here, incredibly talented. A talent you see once in a decade, unfortunately eclipsed by McDavid who is a generational talent.
Matthews is really good don't get me wrong but he reminds me a lot more of Toews (60-70 pt guy), whereas Eichel reminds me more of Malkin (80+)

Even before the Leafs drafted him I liked Matthews more.
I liked Matthews in the 2015 WJC more so than Eichel. Granted it was only 5 games or so but Matthews was still a year and a half away from being drafted.
They are both great but I'll take Matthews and his supporting cast over Eichel.

Eichel. The guy looks dynamic out there. Not saying he's the better player but he's a offensive game changer. Malkin comparison I like.
