Who Should I Drop(

hi all,

with Gaudreau coming off the IR last night, I now need to shed 6.359 in salary to get back under before my week starts tonight. Based on the team in the signature, who would you drop to make the necessary space? I am currently thinking:

C. Miller (1.0)
B. Campbell (2.25)
P. Parenteau (1.25)
R. Panik (0.875)
P. Byron (1.167)

Shedding these guys would put me 0.183 under our cap. Would any one do anything differently.

It would be much more helpful to have the salaries beside the players.
Also I only noticed based on the fact you have Campbell listed as 2.25 Mil that you're using AAV and not just salary or cap hit. That is something else to note.

Marcus Johansson looks like a good drop. Him and Campbell alone would get you the space you need. Panik and Miller are better bargains than Johansson in my mind.

I would do Stralman ($4.5), Parenteau ($1.25), C. Miller ($1) = $6.75 mil

The way I see it, I would much prefer to have Campbell ($2.5) + Panik ($0.875) + Byron ($1.167) for $4.5 mil than Stralman alone

Based on your signature, I would start with Frans Nielsen. He's just not worth the $5.25M cap hit.

After that, maybe Campbell as well.

But if you trimmed all those salaries you are in no position to replace them? Does your league allow that???

We always have to be under our cap of $115 million. The reason I went over is because recently I had Stralman, Gaudreau and Ellis on the IR. In their places I picked up Perron, Martinez and Byron. Now that Gaudreau and Stralman are back, I need to make room for them. We can make 1 pickup per week if we have room under our cap. The other guy I was debating dropping was Reider. I am not really sure what to make of him. But so far I have Johansson and Campbell, Stralman Parenteau and Miller, Frans Neilsen and Campbell suggested. Still not 100% of what to do here.

At this point I have to submit my roster. In the end I dropped based on points per game and of course cap savings.

PA Parenteau (0.3 pts per game)
Colin Miller (0.2 pts per game)
Anton Stralman (0.4 points per game)


I am still pretty good in the D department with Byfuglien, Barrie, Ekblad, Martinez, Campbell and Hutton (with Theodore on bench and Ellis on IR).
