Other than being scratched two games, Klingon has had ample opportunity minutes-wise and PP-wise to put points on the board. He's just plain sucked that's all.
Hopefully he'll turn it around soon - had a decent game last game.
They were my last two keeper spots and now I'm left wondering if they're really worth keeping?? Their minutes aren't high and they just don't look great from the few games I've watched. I have Laine now who I can keep or sell high (?? if that's a thing) for someone like Kuznetsov or other slumping players. Crosby, Malkin, Wheeler, Holtby all seem to be locks for 4 of the 6 keeper spots.

I'm more confident in Carlson than Klingberg, but they both should turn it around. Great power plays on those teams, and the minute munching puck moving defencemen will get their points.

Selling Laine for Kuznetsov is one of the worst ideas I have heard in a while. Kind of ironic that you are asking if Klingberg and Carlson are flashes in the pan yet you are wanting to bring in Kuznetsov, who is beginning to look like the biggest flash in the pan of all.
I would hold tight. You have a great set of keepers so definitely don't move Laine there.
Stay strong.
Those D are a bit frustrating right now but they have too much talent and opportunity to not turn it around. Also, hang onto Laine, he'll be one of your keepers.

This 100%, No way swap those two players
Kuz is a buy low option........but in a keeper you could not offer me enough for my Laine!
Carlson is confusing because WSH made very little changes and have a strong history of performing on the power play. Trotz is a steady caoch and they should be better at this point.
Klingberg and all of Dallas looks horrible so far. They have had a horrible run of injuries and their roster has been flip flopping players all year. They traded away anchor defenders that allowed Klingberg to run around free from playing D and now have a younger more mobile D corp that is good some nights and horrible the others. They are also rostering 8 defenders a night......I own Klingberg and I am waiting it out. My early FA adding of Werenski is looking better everyday I have to sit Klingberg!

Both Dallas and Washington are odd overall with a lot of players in both squads underperforming v their draft position. Could just be one of those years, but when you consider the pedigree of the two guys, I think it's something you have to swallow or risk regretting the move as there is no way you are getting value on them
Experience is the teacher of all things.
Thanks guys! I will hold on to Laine for sure. Klingberg might be the odd man out as a keeper unless he recovers this year.

"Trotz indicated Carlson "started a little behind" because he suffered a nonspecific injury during the World Cup and has been playing through it. "I feel a lot better than I did in the beginning, " Carlson said. The data seems to support this claim as the former first-round pick from the 2008 NHL Draft had only one assist in his first eight games despite managing 25 shots on goal during that time. However, he has four assists in his last three contests so there's been improvement in his game. The slow start has been frustrating for fantasy owners, but his offensive prowess and spot on Washington's potent power play make him a must-start every night, especially if whatever was ailing him is in the rear view mirror." -http://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/hockey/news/capitals-john-carlson-was-nicked-up-during-world-cup/ (NOV 8, 2016)
Carlson is a stud. Be patient.
- I said... "God damn this tablet is heavy!"
Carlson finally nets a goal tonight!!!!!!

On that note in for this year only would you rather have Klingberg or Carlson the rest of the way? Standard scoring
I would rather have Carlson, who is in the midst of turning his season around, and has little/no competition as the #1 guy. Something is going on in Dallas, and its not good. The Dallas D in particular has been a mess, lots of people being jockeyed around, Klingberg was even scratched a few times. Also, Honka concerns me long-term vis-a-vis Klingberg. I moved Klingberg in a deal a few weeks ago to get OEL and I am quite happy in retrospect. Not saying Klingberg is bad, far from it, just like Carlson's situation better.
alot has changed in Dallas and now everyone can just focus on Klingberg and it has rocked his confidence and abilities. Carlson is in the midst of turning it around and looking like normal self now buy low before it is too late!

If I hadn't drafted him in the 5th round, I would have dropped Klingon by now. Dude has shown zero signs of life... I'm baffled why he continues to refuse to take shots.
