    Anthony Stolarz vs Calvin Pickard

Pickard has shown some glimpes. But can he really wrestle free the starting job from Varly and his big contract?
Meanwhile AS looked great in his debut and their may be an opportunity in Flyerland as soon as next year.

    Thoughts?

I need to see more of Stolarz at the NHL level before I'm willing to bump him above Pickard.

Varly could be left unprotected in the expansion draft - leaving Pickard alone in Col. - so there's that.

Until proven otherwise, I want Pickard.

Completely agree with Luca. It's Pickard by far.

Pickard today, someone else tomorrow and someone you've never heard about for next season.

Goalies are tough to value, which is confounding as they are normally a key position in fantasy.

Prior to the season, it was Price v Holtby. Now? It can be argued that it's Price v Budaj???.

    The defence rests.

Right now, it's Pickard of those two, and it's not that close. Stolarz is potentially the goalie of the near future for the Flyers, but he has been good, but not great in the minors. He has not outplayed Neuwirth or Mason yet, except for his start this season. Pickard has a real chance to seize the job immediately, as he has been outplaying Varlamov for a while in the NHL.

I can't see your roster & details, but I think I've replied to another of your threads with the massive rebuild.
