From a Calgary perspective, not a player perspective. Gaudreau, Monahan, Bennett, Tkachuk, Frolik, Backlund are all LH shots. They don't need another LH shot. It's nothing to do with what a player can do, but rather what Calgary as a team needs, and that is most certainly not another LH shot.

Valid point. It's pretty much the opposite of Winnipeg who have Wheeler, Scheifele, Laine, Little, Stafford, all RH shots. Even their 3 best D-men are all RH shots. The only LH shot they have at forward is Ehlers.

Frolik and Backlund are 3rd liners, so there would be still room for one more RH shot even if they added one LH shot. But yeah, maybe they wouldn't have the trade chips for that anymore then.

That's your opinion, but Frolik and Backlund are currently their 2 best players. Not to mention that Gio and Brodie are both LH shots as well. Dougie and Brouwer are their only players of consequence that shoot right, and I guess Versteeg, if you consider a 900k player on a one year deal a player of consequence. Even most of their prospects.....Ferland, Jankowski, Shinkaruk, Poirier, Klimchuk, Mangiapane, Dube all LH shots. The Flames simply cannot afford to trade Hamilton, but if they make the dumb decision to do so they absolutely cannot afford to do it for a player who shoots left. They simply cant.

As expected this, turns out to be what everything that comes from Toronto is, which is a bunch of nothing. Toronto media creates smoke. Toronto media says "where there's smoke there's fire", turns out there's actually no fire.

i doubt flames move hamilton but as if you can take anything burke says seriously. what is he going to say? yeah we are moving dougie. hes been crap and we are done with him.
