This trade doesn't make much sense for the Islanders IMO.

This will leave a huge hole on their D.

Not sure it makes sense for Colorado too. They already have two really solid RHD in Barrie and Johnson. They both make too much money to play 3rd pair minutes.

I think that's too big of a return for Duchene tbh and I would be surprised if that happened. Taylor Hall only cost Adam Larssen; Hamonic is an established defensive stud and you're also throwing in Strome?

I can see the appeal of Hamonic in Colorado since they're, uh, kinda bad defensively but still.
