Hammond is the classic example of a player getting hot at the right time... he'll never recapture the form he showed in his emergence and I think he is just getting found out (doesn't that always happen when teams scouts scout them harder so as to expose weaknesses) I think he may pass through waivers here but wouldn't surprise him working his way back

I would expect him to pass through as well. My thoughts, if he was on an expiring contract some teams may take a chance on him but that extra year on his deal right now will have teams taking a pass.

For some teams, that extra year may help them with expansion draft exposure issues.
