All the best to him! He was a class act the whole time here, and it's so unfortunate that everyone just ties him to Syndergaard now.

On another note, has anyone read his book? It was a crazy story, and in typical RA fashion, very eloquently written.

Curious how he’ll do in the new stadium in Atlanta. He’s what a team like that needs with such a shakey rotation. He’ll give 200IP, where wins/losses don’t matter. Curious on the dollar figure tho

No. I tend to wait until athletes retire before I read there books... not sure why... I just tend to do that. Probably cause there are so many to read.

    *their* (Sorry, had to...)

Completely fair. I do recommend it though when you do get a chance. So many struggles for one player though. There aren't many as mentally strong as RA nowadays.
On a similar note, the Josh Hamilton one was eye-opening as well. Having read it though, it made his recent struggles and split from Kate so much tougher to hear about.

His book is definitely on my list of books to read... as is Hamiltons.

my guess is it's an 8mill contract/yr (16mill total), but a 1-2 mill buyout if the team doesnt accept the option

Nice enough guy, terrible trade for the Jays. The Jays rotation just got stronger because of this.

When did his knuckleball work best? As a Braves fan I am hoping it is in hot Georgia weather!

You could very well be right. He just didn't work out here unfortunately. Not sure what to expect from him though at 42 years of age.
