From what I'm hearing... Willie Desjardins will be out in the next couple of days and will be replaced by Travis Green.
I know that it would not surprise anybody but it's a strong possibility.

I would not be surprised at all.
Well I mean. They mentioned that on insider trading yesterday, if they keep losing. But it's not necessarily imminent.

The Canucks are in a really bad spot. Ownership and Management seem to want to try and compete, and I don't think the Sedins would really be on board for a full rebuild anyway. And I doubt they can be traded at their salaries even if they waived their NMCs. Hopefully in 2 seasons when the twins are out, the Nucks can start sucking on purpose instead of what's happening now

they are the burke/nonis leafs. too shit to make the playoffs, too stupid to rebuild.
this year they may not have a choice. They may have started 4-0, but that was against bad teams. Of which they were drastically outplayed for at least 7 of those 12 periods. Playing really good hockey in only 3 3rd periods. A little bad luck in those games and they only have 2 wins on the season.
The biggest problem for Vancouver - outside of the unmoveable contracts of the twins & Eriksson, they have very little they can trade away to obtain draft picks and speed up a rebuild.
I'm not really sure why the Leafs model isn't being adopted - even if they want to compete somewhat. Sign a couple cheap value laden vets - trade them for picks at the deadline.
I'm not sure if the problem lies with feeling they need to try to compete because of the Sedins, or that the owners are so money hungry they'd rather rake in 4-5m. a season with a 1st round playoff shellacking rather than make 20-30m a season in 3-4 years time with sustained deep playoff pushes.
the Aquillini's either need to sell this team to owners that truly want to win every year... or someone kidnap them and strip it down for them.
