Default Spooner on the move for D help?

The Boston Bruins are willing to potentially swap Ryan Spooner for a young studly defender to help out their aging blue line.
Which makes sense. While not blessed in the same way that say Toronto or Arizona are with young phenoms at the forward position, Boston could certain stand to begin to re-tool their defense corps. Spooner represents one of their most promising and ready-to-play young talents and many a Bruins would agree that a certain withholding right-handed defender in Winnipeg would look just dandy next to Torey Krug.

Does Winnipeg have a need for Ryan Spooner I think is the better question.

Or Anaheim? I think that's the more likely landing spot as Winnipeg consistently seems to state they want another young defender in a deal for Trouba.

Not a chance. Carlo will be better than Trouba in real world hockey and he and McAvoy will be the faces of the Bruins d line for many years to come. And while Trouba plays the poor me card and I want out, Carlo is quiet and goes about his business. I would take Trouba in Boston but you are looking more like a package of Colin Miller, Spooner and a 1st.

No, there is no chance of this. Trouba may end up better in fantasy but Carlo is the future of the Bruins d with McAvoy.

Ryan Spooner isn’t going to get you a young, NHL ready defenseman. He would get you a vet 5/6 D at the deadline on an expiring contract.

You are right Olympic which is why they would need to package a 1st and maybe a Colin Miller to get a Trouba. But Carlo isn't going anywhere. And with Trouba signing for 3 million now, I am thinking he is on the move.
