If true, I concur with what Laidlaw said in the Ramblings today - December 1st is the key date by which he'd need to be signed, since after then you apparently can't play this season.
Any news or worthy speculation on Trouba as of now? Heard the Rangers, Detroit etc.. Just wondering if anyone has anything new.

Yeah, If Chevy wants to maximize Return while saving some face from being strong armed by a kid yet to really prove anything... we're still a couple weeks out from anything happening.
Personally... I pull an Yzerman and let this kid determine his fate... bit different than Drouin's situation as Trouba is an
RFA, but kids pulling these kind of power moves can just as easily blow up
In their faces as it should.
Tail wagging the dog gets kinda Scarey in this day and age of capping.

Yep, I think Chevy lets Trouba squirm, unless a deal is offered that really knocks his socks off, and I don't think that deal is out there. In my opinion, this will depend on Trouba's resolve. Is he willing to sit the season out? If so, he loses millions of dollars this season. If not, he'll be in a Jets uniform come December. Chevy and the Jets win in two of the three scenarios (a trade, or Trouba signing a bridge deal), and if they lose, Trouba's losing with them.
