Thanks, What a great team player. I wish he was still in Atlanta.... and I wish that he would have scored on a sac fly (not squeeze) to become the game winning run!

That is definitely pretty cool. Did he talk about how he wanted that last AB with the bases loaded to look like Kevin Pillar with the bases loaded haha.

The Chicago PR team should be dreaming how they can make big bucks from this....

I would start by having him appear on a float during the championship parade.

Maddon almost lost them this game after thinking about it all. The early pull of a cruising Hendricks. Lester in in the middle of an inning was weird, plus a guy on base. The use of Chapman (but I’d be using him anyways, but in the 9th).

He made some very odd calls in this game which would have been questioned if they lost. On the flip side, I didn’t see an issue with Francona at all. Maybe not using Salazar at all to start a game, but that’s such a tough call to make.

Pretty sure they sacrificed him on an alter in secret pagan site beneath Wrigley field to lift the curse in the first place.

I agree. Maddon had a terrible game 6 and 7. There was absolutely no reason to have Chapman pitch as much as he did in game 6. I wanted to see Montgomery in the 8th in game 6 with the 3 run lead and at the minimum Chapman should have been out of the game in the 9th. Like you said, the Hendricks hook was too soon. The guy was cruising. I really enjoy Maddon as a coach and he is so refreshing as a sports fan but he completely overmanaged and is lucky that the Cubs won in spite of him. If they lost he would have been roasted by the critics.

Second best baseball deciding game I have ever witnessed.

The first being my PEEWEE baseball team. went down 8-0 going into the bottom of the 5th. Came back to win bottom of the 7th 9-8 on a squeeze bunt -- That's right... at 12 we executed a squeeze.. just sayin'!

That said, hands down best Game 7 I've ever seen.

I'm kind of surprised it was only 5 million! Heh.

That was the 7th highest gathering of humans in history and the the highest in North America. Now you've got a goal Toronto if you win a cup.

Have you ever heard of the Gardiner??? or the DVP? Zero chance Toronto hits 5 million ...it would take people days to get out of downtown
