Prolly get to see Seth Griffith now for the Leafs. And likely a solid boost to Connor Brown.

Nevermind, the Leafs picked up Craig Smith (played with the Marlies and Leafs last yr). So the Michalek waive is a corresponding move

I remember when those first two were highly touted sharks prospects. As a Sharksfan I tought Bernier was the next Shanahan, Michalek a light version of Hossa. Talk about bias

Doesn’t help that he (Michalek) went in front of some ridiculous players in that 2003 draft.
    Ryan Suter (7), Carter (11), Seabrook (14), Parise (17), Getzlaf (19), Burns (20), Kesler (23), Richards (24), Perry (28), Eriksson (33), Bergeron (45), Weber (49), Crawford (52), Backes (62), Howard (64).

    That was a good draft!

Imagine if your team was rebuilding and you just drafted every rookie on that draft? I think you would have been ok.

I really liked Ben Smith when he played for the Hawks. Always thought he was a solid bottom six contributor when given the chance.

    Komarov-Kadri-Brown
    Martin-Smith-Holland

That’s the new 3rd/4th line for the Leafs, and it makes sense now having the waiver claim for Smith. He was a solid bottom center for them last yr and they like having Holland on the wing (he was there a lot of pre-season)
