Help me get monahan

For non keeper purposes, i am tryng to get monahan for league in sig. what would be a fair initial offer for monahan from my team?. I could also to try get oel in a package deal, say something like backstrom and hamilton for oel and monahan.

I think you might need to replace Hamilton with either Shattenkirk or Barrie to make that deal remotely appealing. To be completely honest, I don't think I would even do it with Carlson in there if I am the other GM.
What are the other GMs weaknesses that he would be looking to fill via trade?

the other manager's weaknesses are at centre, so i would be looking to give him an 'upgrade' from monahan to backstrom (although with backstrom's deployment this year, I am not sure this is actually an upgrade for him (this is the value I am seeking). If i can get a better dman in return, that would make the deal a sweep in my mind. Dmen are generally undervalued in our league (despite the fact taht with our stats, the top tier dmen are really valuable). So maybe i offer backstrom and shattenkirk for monahan and oel? Do you think that is even - and if not, would you agree that the monahan/oel side is better, even if all pre-season rankings have backstrom valued as the best of the four?

If Dmen are undervalued and the other guy needs an upgrade at C, then it looks like a good deal to make. Just don't expect OEL to match the PIMs from last season.
