Default Too early to drop Zatkoff for Markstrom?

I have one add left this week. I think i have offensive categories in the bag but this is my chance to maybe upgrade my 3rd goalie.

Zatkoff has obviously had an abysmal start and Markstrom a little better. However, I still have a much higher opinion of LA than Vancouver long term, even though Vancouver is 3-0 and LA 0-3.

With Zatkoff, risk is LA will acquire a more reliable veteran goalie. But with Markstrom I don't know what happens when Miller comes back.

I suppose this question is more - should I just give up on Zatkoff? I don't consider it THAT important as my other goalies are Allen and Dubynk but still.

kings will possibly start budaj next game so I'd take my chances with markstrom .

once miller is back its probably a 40/60 split in millers favor

friedman made it sound as though kings are looking for a cheap short term option , like condon .

Not too early. Marstrom is definitely your better bet moving forward.

Yep I have no interest in Zatkoff. I would go Markstrom and hope for the peripherals....assuming Vancouver doesn't go undefeated this year

The Kings are off to a bad start and Zatkoff isn't the biggest reason why. Markstrom may perform better with SV% and GAA but Vancouver doesn't have a better defense core than LA in my opinion.

Who are the other goalies on the waiver wire?

zatkoff was a bad option to start with and he will be replaced by budaj... who likely will be replaced by a goalie that LA will trade or pick up.

Markstrom is better in real life & fantasy - easy decision.

I'd drop Zatkoff for Markstrom without hesitation. I'm surprised Markstrom is still available if I am being completely honest with you.

Markstrom is a future top 3 goalie, just behind Holtby and McDavid (he'll eventually get bored of scoring and convert to goalie, funny thing is he'll still be top 20 in league scoring as a goaltender). I'd be picking him up immediately.
