That's one way of staying positive, but you can also say the Pens are also playing 8 games in 16 days, which is quite the compacted, sizable chunk of games missed.

Meh, nothing to see here...I hope it helps him get closer to 100%, or as close as he can ever be.

Letang took practice this morning on PP1 and is game-time decision tonight.

They don't play again till next Sunday... makes no sense for them to start him now. Should just give him the full week off.

(54 mins ago) The Penguins are unsure whether Letang (illness) will be healthy enough to play Wednesday. "Tanger was sick today," coach Mike Sullivan said after Tuesday's practice. "We're hopeful he's going to be okay, but we'll watch him and see how it goes. Obviously he didn't feel well enough to skate today."
It sounds as though Letang's status for Wednesday's tilt won't be determined until closer to the start of the game. The defender netted his first goal in 15 games Sunday and has 10 points in his last nine contests.

The bye week was too much for him to handle... what he needs is a steady 1 game per week schedule so that he stays warm without over-exerting his porcelain body

Letang is out after getting hit by Vanek. Didn't return for the 2nd period.

It was considerate of him to pop a goal before he exited.

Getting hit by Vanek - you don't hear that very often.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

Looked like he tweaked a groin after getting tangeled with Vanek (I wouldn't call it a hit).
He tried it out a shift later in the game but then left for good. So I say he misses 2-3 games to rest it up, then comes back.
