I live your enthusiasm about players when you own them, especially when I have them on my roster, hard not to get over excited about their potential!!

Pre season is what it is, and that's not to get too caught up in the results. The rosters can be so weak from game to game. I picked up Auvitu off the free agent list, not because he had a three point night, although that was nice to see, but because of the insight on him that I found from the fine dobberites. I think he has a real shot at some meaningful minutes and situations in Jersey!

But yeah Gost, the second coming of Karlsson!! Lol

Healthy full season? Should be around 50 pts in my opinion. Lots of opportunity on the PP and he has shown he has the skills to produce. Can he hit 60? I suppose it is in the realm of possibility but every thing would have to line up perfectly. At the end of the day I would call it a win If he gets anywhere near 50 pts.

Switching my avatar all those years ago didn't help the Habs score more goals.

I saw the guy play live in the North America vs Sweden game. There's no smoke and mirrors with this guy. He got three points that game and they were all legit assists. The guy's vision is incredible and his break out passes are a thing of beauty. I don't know if he gets 60, but he's a stud and if not this year, then maybe next. Don't underestimate this guy. He is not a fluke.

Stuntman - FYI I've moved this and a few of your threads into the one-year forum. In future, could you find the most relevant section to post it in as it would be helpful for those who search/view specific forums. Thanks.

I actually think 60 points is doable as well but I'm also biased (look at my team...). The fact that he didn't play a full 82 games last season and that Voracek only had 1 PPG all season means the flyers PP1 can only improve from here.

He had a lot of PPP and OTP last year. A very magical year.
He's a great player but he doesn't log the ESTOI to be a 60pt player.
One of the more overrated players in fantasy hockey - I like him, I'm a Flyers fan... but (we do this), we overhype rookie years and expect them to continue.
    I don't think he'll get close to 60.
    Example... Joni Pitkanen circa 2005/6.

I dont think Ghost will pull a Pitkanen, but it is not 100% certain that he wont. I'm thinking he will get 50 points this year and that is a very good total for any dman not named Karlsson.

Very possible, but not likely this year. Once or more in his career, I do think he does that.

    Ghost Update:

After 10 games he is on pace for 16 goals on 230 shots (7.1 SH%), 41 assists, 57 points, 25 STP, 21:15 ATOI.

None of those numbers look terribly unsustainable to me. I'd say he certainly has a shot at 60 if he plays 82 games and stays on PP1, though I would personally put money on 50-55 points.

Also, he is on pace for 49 PIM, 57 Hits, and 123 Blocks. In 2015-16 his 82 game pace for those stats was 30 PIM, 34 Hits, and 75 Blocks. So he is on pace for nice improvement in all of those peripherals.

7.5 shooting % is still pretty high for a d-man. But that’s up at the elite players level (Karlsson). So it’s not unsustainable, but it’s still pretty high.

A very fair point. Although in 2015-16 his shooting % over 64 games was a ridiculous 11.2% - so maybe his regression in that category has already taken place.

Watching Ghost's game, he does push the puck up pretty far into the offensive zone for shots at times, and spots up for one timers in the slot more than most D men, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him end up with a slightly above average career shooting % for a D man. He isn't just exclusively blasting it in from the point like some D men might tend to do.
