I got Ek for a cheese sandwich and a slightly used banana.

I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
Damn, it looks like overpaid for him
On a positive note, it appears he is staying with the Wild this year but on a less positive note, he is playing mostly 4th line minutes and not doing much. At this point, you gotta think he's mostly for the future.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
Eriksson Ek has been named captain of Sweden's 2017 WJC team.
He's doing pretty good so far

Yeah. Still a long ways away from being fantasy relevant but yeah, looking good.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
I don't see why he wouldn't be as good as Rantanen or Konecny next year..

From Fantrax:
The Wild are expected to recall Eriksson Ek from Farjestad of the Swedish Elite League in the near future, Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Analysis: Minnesota initially hoped to have the 20-year-old back with the big club in January, but opted to wait until Farjestad's season concluded. Eriksson Ek is said to be en route to the United States, and once he has an opportunity to practice with the team and get acclimated, he'll likely be formally recalled. The 2015 first-round pick got off to a hot start to his NHL career back in October before heading off to Sweden, producing two goals and three assists in nine games while logging only 10:07 of ice time. Eriksson Ek, who is capable of playing either center or wing, will be playoff eligible by virtue of appearing early this season, but would burn the first year of his three-year, entry-level contract once he plays in his next game with the Wild.
With Parise out right now we could see EE on the left wing, which is what he played in his few NHL games in the fall.
Eriksson Ek is in tonight vs the Sens at 4th C.

Eriksson Ek spent most of the game playing left wing with Koivu and Granlund... but then he was back on the 4th line midway through the 3rd period. Boudreau likes to tweak his lineup, and his team was losing, so I think that's understandable. Anyways, it's nice to see Eriksson Ek getting some chances to play a bigger role.
