2017 NHL Trade Deadline

Does anyone know what the date is for this year's trade deadline? I've googled it a couple of times but haven't been able to find anything. I'd like to know so I can set/change my keeper league's deadline before the season starts. Ideally I'd like our deadline to be at least a week after the actual deadline, if not 2 weeks.

That CBS article says Feb 28th, but its based off a tweet from CapFriendly which is not official.

It's also not what the previous poster said, which is Feb 27th. Several sites say the 27th, others the 28th.

That being said, historically Trade Deadline Day is held on a Monday. Therefore the obvious date would be February 27th, 2016.

PRO-HOCKEY RUMORS - February 27, no time.

There is no definitive date announced that can be found by a primary source - namely the NHL..

Bettman announced in September that the deadline would be March 1st.

The Feb28th date is because the date wasn't known until September, and one of those sites came up with the deadline always being 40days before the final date on the regular season sked. Whether that's true or not, that made the date Feb28. They ran with that and it loos like a lot of sites did too

In 2000, the Trade Deadline was March 14, which is a Tuesday. In 2014, the Deadline was March 5, which is a Wednesday. In 2013, the Trade Deadline was April 3, which is a Wednesday.

I am not sure where you get the info that the NHL Trade Deadline is historically held on a Monday?
