Drop one: Toffoli, Eberle, Backstrom

Goals are worth 2, Assists worth 1, keeper league. Can only keep 2 of those guys, so who is the odd man out this year?

Toffoli
Eberle
Backstrom (WAS)

I've been leaning towards keeping Eberle and Backstrom, but I have a nagging feeling that Toffoli is going to take another step in LA this year. Its a keeper league but I'm going for it this year so lets put most of the focus on this years production. If its too close to call, I might as well keep Toffoli and Eberle and use Backstrom as trade bait since he's the bigger name imo

Backstrom is the best player here by far. But by making goals worth double it basically evens these three to almost even across the board.

I can't see a situation where Eberle loses his spot beside McD, so keep him.
I like Backstrom and he should still be with Ovie, with Kuz centering line 2. So I'd keep him too.
Toffoli is still going to be on Carter's line, and that's not a bad thing. But Carter shoots a lot. So i see this hurting Toffoli a little.

But you're splitting hairs here. It's really close.

Backstrom is the easy keep for me.

This comes down to Toffoli vs Eberle. This is close but I am keeping Toffoli with the extra value on goals.

This is difficult between Toffoli and Eberle for sure. I like them both so I would go with keeping the one that would be harder to re-draft, which is also difficult to determine.

Toffoli might be more coveted because the goals being worth more...
Eberle might be more coveted because the potential to play with McDavid....

So when it comes down to this decision I think its soo close I would go with the player that I like better and that is Toffoli.

Backstrom is the best player, a lock to score just at a point per game. His floor is 70P which is pretty much the other players ceiling!
Toffoli gets the edge in GOALS over Eberle. He will produce the same as last year and he is set on his line but could get more PP time or move up to line 1, either way he is solid floor option.

Eberle only edges out Toffoli IF he plays all full year with McDavid, IF they click, IF the lines do not get jumbled up, IF he is not traded, etc

If you are drinking the cool aid that Eberle playing next to McDavid will get some magical Cheechoo'ness and produce 100 Points next to the best playmaker inthe NHL than feel free to move him up your list!

I think we will see another 65 Point season from him....My opinion only maybe?
