    Default Drop Callahan?

I was looking at free agents and there are several that caught my eye such as Pearson, Iginla, Nick Foligno, Doan, Perron, Lehtera, Ryan Strome and Soderberg. Any of them a good reason to drop Callahan? Settings below show my current team and league settings.

Foligno is the one that caught my eye first... He has to be better than last year, although I doubt stars re-align and he reaches 14/15 stats again. He gives you peripheral stats and should out produce Callahan.

Second would be Strome, but want to see how he does to start the year before jumping on him - watch list for me.
Iginla seems to just keep trucking along, 3rd option

I'd wait to see how the new coach in Colorado deploys Soderberg before considering him as an add

Those are the only three from that list i would really consider.

I would take anybody at this point. Callahan is band aid boy.

I think you want to swing for the fences.... so I would go with one of the the young guy and hope for a breakout! Pearson it is for me.

Yeah - Foligno was essentially better than Callahan was last year, and 2016-17 Foligno is all but assured to be considerably better than 2015-16 Foligno whereas 2016-17 Callahan probably will be just as bad.

    Not Doan, Perron, or Soderberg.

But I think any of the others is a definite upgrade over Callahan.

Pearson or Strome.. both will be leaned heavily on with departures and injuries.

    Foligno, R Strome, Pearson

I'd drop Callahan in a heartbeat for the three listed in that order

As the others said, most would be an upgrade on Callahan. Pearson or Foligno would be the route I would take.
If those are your FAs, I wonder if there's one that would be better than Green, as he's the weak point of your D.
