Anderson or Lehtonen
Down to the dregs here in my offline draft. Who of the G's below do you think will have the best season?
Stats: W, GAA, SV%, SO
This is a dynasty league but I have no intention of keeping this final goalie pick. With limited roster moves throughout the season I want to lock down my third string now if possible.
G's available:
Halak - has looked good in WC, injury history, split starts with Greiss, Islanders building off of playoff success last season
C. Anderson - will he bounce back this season?
Varlamov - new coach, I own Pickard on my farm so could handcuff COL goalies, declining numbers
Smith - really don't know what to make of ARZ this season....!
or further down my list....
Markstrom - keeper potential if he can usurp job from Miller but will that happen this season? (ie will I get enough starts?)
Greiss
Niemi
Lehtonen
Been mulling this over for weeks and haven't been able to come to a decision. Any advice is appreciated!

Who is your #1 goalie, assuming you have Pickard as #2.
Normally I would say no to Varlamov, but he gives you a handcuff with Pickard which is very helpful. I like Colorado to improve under not Roy. Halak has looked good, and I think those are my top 2 choices in your situation, with Halak being the guy I want first.
I do think Markstrom can take over from Miller this year, but I would not take him over the other 2 guys or Anderson, who I'd have 3rd.

Anderson is better than he gets credit for. Ottawa just had a leaky defence. He saw more rubber than anyone other than Lundqvist last year if I remember correctly. That said, I think Varlamov is your best bet here. Reduces uncertainty for you, and Colorado should be on the upswing with their young talent and Roy gone.

Varlamov winning so far. Halak one vote, Anderson one and half votes. Haha.
My other G's are Holtby, Murray, Pickard, Korpisalo, Forsberg, Ullmark, and then it gets too deep into my farm to matter. Everyone but Holtby is farm eligible.
I don't like the idea of relying on Murray/Pickard in a start two G league.
Take a minute and input your current goalies into the Same Night Tool that can be found here:
http://forums.dobbersports.com/showt...ght=night+tool
That will help you factor in who of the group you are choosing from will get more starts when your top 2 might be off.
it's anderson's on year. there's no one to challenge him for the job. i'd go with him.
As its based on peripherals and not volume I go Halak.... Varly second but only as you have Pickard. Halak isnt an issue about ability just injuries whereas the others have both (bar Amderson but he's more suited for volume metrics)
