He is the only goalie available in my league (Seriously)...do you think he will be the #1 this year? Is he worth a shot?

Worth a shot for sure. As for #1 he's in a tough spot, he very well should be the starter but for whatever reason the Jets keep rolling Pavelec out there. I do believe he's too talented to be held back this season though and either by a bad stretch from the guys in front of him or an injury he will get in there

Depends on who you have to drop to acquire him. But he's worth a shot if you need some G help. He will be a great own at some point in the near future.

It's worth the risk but I would not put big money on that.

Unless there is an injury he should be in the AHL.

Pretty sure you're all but guaranteed Pavs will miss a chunk of time. He normally does. Pavs will also see an extended stretch where his GAA is close to 3.5 and SVPCT is .850.

Definitely worth the risk, unless you have to drop something of significance to nab him. He could create a dead reserve spot if you don't have a minors roster for the first 3-4 months of the year

Tough to make an informed decision without knowing many more details about your team and league scoring. None of those guys should be dropped lightly.

That's a tough drop for a goalie who WILL be the number 1, but management has decided to sit on Pavelec for now. Like others have said, Pavs will get hurt (or just suck) and then the crease is Hellebuyck's. Until that happens though, he won't be starting any games. Any way for you to trade Palat for a pick first and then grab Hellebuyck?

Well it comes down to your situation then. Personally, when it comes to a player of Helle's talent and the chance to own him long-term, I am looking to get him on my team. I would be looking to move Greiss out--trading him to the Halak owner, for instance--to do it though. Also, are you in contention? Tough to keep Helle on your roster getting you zeroes if he doesnt make the big club out of camp. If you arent competing for the title this year I would be making a move to bring Helle in for sure. Then you would have an amazing trio of Crawford, Allen, Helle set up for next year and beyond.

Why limited goalie stats, and Helly's uncertain future this season, and his drop off when he was up last season, I resist the itchy trigger and stand pat.

I like Helly, but considering those drops you aren't in a rebuild if they're your bottom guys, so I let him pass

With Allen and Crawford, I would definitely want Hellebuyck over Greiss.. Hellebuyck is going to be Winnipeg's number one sooner or later.. This is Pavelec's last season with the Jets and he is bound to get hurt again..

As a Greiss and Hellebuyck owner, I would stand pat with what you have. I think the Jets will ride their current tandem of Pavelec and Hutch until one goes down with an injury or both stink for an extended period of time. Greiss could split stats with Halak and actually GIVE you some stats whereas Helle will just be a bench player until a potential call up down the road.

Keep an eye out for the Jets' performances and for the situation in the Islanders crease. If you see that Helle has a chance for stats or that Greiss is out of the big picture, then act upon that, but as it stands, I prefer your current situation for this coming season.
