A Dman who hits..... ALOT

Hello looking for a cheap D man who hits a ton... My forwards don't hit much at all so I am looking to compensate that with a hard hitting cheap Dman for my salary cap league. I'm going to forgive points but would like this player to have a decent +- also.

If there is anyone else you think I should look for or consider please feel free to name a couple for me.

I would go with Schenn. He gets 200 + hits but can get you 15 pts a year

yeah looking for around 250-300 hits... was going to go with Gudas but he signed a larger extention.. might go McNabb should have a nice plus minus on LA

I don't think Borowiecki or Schenn are full-time players, so I wouldn't really want them because of that. I'm not sure if they play 40 or 60 games (assuming they're healthy even).

Johns has a top-4 spot waiting for him in Dallas. Considering how much they score, he might get some secondary assists because of that (he does have some offensive skills as well but probably isn't used in any kind of offensive role). McNabb is also a decent option but doesn't hit as much (200 hits vs 300 expected from Johns after he had 55 hits in 14 games last season), and I think Johns could actually get more points than him.

Yes i am thinking Johns also.. but Mark Borowiecki got 270 hits in 60 games and played 60 games the last 2 years. Still might go with Johns if hes considered to get around 250-300 hits

Out of the 3, who will have more hits? looking for roughly 250-300+.... I am leaning towards Johns as hes on the better team which hopefully gets him a better +- than Borowiecki and Schenn being on non playoff teams.

It's tough to peg who hits more, as they're all in the same realm, but I think you get more other than hits from Johns, so he's my pick if your have your choice of the litter.

Alex Petrovic is a name to consider. He had 157 hits in 66 games last year. He also put up a lot of points in the WHL.

I would give a shot on Schenn...

He might have new life on a new team and new deal... and expectations are not as high for him as they once were... he might surprise.

Hits projections:
Gudas should get you the most - 275-300 on a full year. Fair amount of PIM, Blocks and Shots too.
Polak - 250ish
Borowiecki - 250ish
Schenn 225ish.
McNabb will get you close to 200 but he'll also put up some decent points, PIM and Blocks if that's what you're into.

EDIT: John's is projected to get ~200.
