Maybe not in my top 5, but probably just in the debate for top 10.

Oh how the Nata screwed up that year shutting Strasburg down. Hope the Jays don't end up making the same mistake with Sanchez.

I bet Wash is happy they shut him down that year so it would help prevent future injuries. Wait, what?

Definitely with you guys on that. Just goes to show we all have no clue what we're doing when it comes to those injuries.

I think this is just the fact Strasburg has a weaker elbow from his genes. Not his pitches thrown. I would say Strasburg is a top 7(?) pitcher over the last few yrs.

Kershaw, Scherzer, Sale, Bumgarner, Fernandez, Arrieta, Syndergaard, Stras? Kluber can be thrown in there. But if Stras is healthy, he’s elite. Before he had his slide into injury this yr (I’m saying August 1st was his last healthy start), he had a 2.63ERA, a 10.9k/9, 0.98WIP, 4.23:1 K:BB ratio. I think his issue was his 114pitch games, he threw over 100 pitches in 16 of his first 20 games. That’s too much, he averaged like 104 pitches/game!

So Stras agent is known to push his clients to FA apparently, so is this something where Stras knew he’d get injured eventually, or just had a hunch his elbow wasn’t going to hold up so he signed that big deal in Washington????
