Possible Benn trade

In my league we can't trade in the offseason but I was talking to another GM and he said he wasn't going to keep Benn...I said yeah right and he said nope he was looking at trading him and he likes my D...I said who would you like and we can do a deal if he keeps Benn...deal would be Klingberg and my 3rd for Benn and his 5th...I would be stupid not to take this deal right...I know a lot can happen between now and the draft but he wants to keep Weber over Benn.

I don't know how you can say no? Been is great in your league, hits SOG... Klingberg doesn't hit those peripheral stats.

(I'd heavily consider Wheeler over Giroux or Kucherov as well - give you two top end multi-cat forwards who put up as good or better points than Giroux/Kuch 78 for Blake last year)

If this comes to be then I would change my keepers to Josi, Kling, Crawford, Giroux...and just switch out Kling for Benn...Josi, Giroux, Crawford, Benn would be a sweet 4 to start out the upcoming season with...damn I hope this happens.

No joke...he told me also last year after the deadline that he wasn't sure if he was keeping Benn...I didn't believe him...If this all works out I will be amazed...I don't know how you can't keep Benn he is in his prime and is one of the top fantasy players no matter what format...but like I said a lot can happen or change between now and when our draft takes place...I will be working my butt off to make this deal happen.

Sounds like it is going to happen but he wants Crawford for Benn straight up...so I am changing my Keepers to Jones, Crawford, Klingberg, Wheeler...then flipping Crawford for Benn...new keepers will then be Benn, Wheeler, Klingberg, Jones...I went with Klingberg instead of Josi since I am getting Benn and thats too tempting of a combo to pass up...How did I make out?
